When working with hockey players, FitSpeed’s focus goes well beyond the scope of traditional methods. To match the demands of the sport, FitSpeed’s emphasis is on power and endurance to play fast and physical over three periods. We select exercises based on the concepts of the sports-specific movements: improving athleticism (mobility and flexibility), maintaining muscular balance (injury prevention), efficient biomechanical adjustments (developing extreme shin angles) on skates, and finally, explosive power (checking, shooting, skating) – arguably the most important physical parameter of all.
